About Green River College

Green River College is a public community college with its main campus in Auburn, Washington. The college primarily awards associates degrees but also offers 9 bachelor’s degrees.
Green River College offers certificate, associate, and applied baccalaureate degree programs, as well as classes to prepare students for academic transfer to a four-year college or university; more than 40 professional and technical programs; and classes in Adult Basic Education and English for speakers of other languages.
One of the college’s signature programs is Aviation Technology, where students are trained for a variety of careers including Air Traffic Controller and Professional Pilot. Students learn in Green River’s new state-of-the-art air traffic control lab and flight simulator.
Top transfer programs include business, engineering and IT. Green River offers a wide variety of other majors in sciences, humanities and social sciences.
Green River is also known for its strong international program. As of fall 2014, GRC hosted over 1,700 international students from 64 countries, ranking it among the top 10 community colleges in the US in international enrollment.

Intensive English Online – Learn English at times that are convenient for you. There are 10 different start dates per quarter. We offer one day free observation before enrollment for students who are interested.
Academic Classes with English Support – In order to support your success in an academic class, Green River has created a Communication Studies class that fulfills a general education requirement and is very transferable to most universities throughout the U.S. The class will be taught by a Communication instructor and supported by an Intensive English Program instructor who will provide language and study skills support.
College Experience and Foundation for Success now at convenient times for those studying from their home country
Classes cost less at Green River. Did you know that if you are enrolled in a four-year university, like the University of Washington, a 5 credit class such as English 101 will cost you $6,402. That same class at Green River College costs $1,537.15. That is a huge savings. If you are studying online from home, you can enroll in one class if that is all you need.
